About me

I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature and the mountains. Whether on skis, a mountain bike, or running trails, I enjoy exploring remote landscapes and the sense of freedom and perspective they bring. These moments in the outdoors are a source of balance and inspiration in my life. Traveling through the backcountry also offers a chance to observe the mechanics of snow and avalanches firsthand, while time spent in alpine and forest environments reveals how plants and other organisms adapt to their surroundings. These quiet observations often spark new questions and deepen one's curiosity about the natural world.

I’m also drawn to the richness of travel and cross-cultural experiences, both in exploration and in academic life. Collaborating with colleagues around the world and spending time in different environments has broadened my perspective and shaped how I see both science and community. Whether navigating a winding mountain trail or a new city, I value the learning that comes from stepping outside the familiar.
